    About the Artist:
My style is relaxed. For children, I want you to look at a picture from one of our sessions and remember all the stages of their uniqueness, even when they are too big for you to choose their outfits, comb the "rat's nests" out of their hair (complete with princess rats, mommy rats, and daddy rats, according to my daughters), or let you chauffeur them around town because, amazingly, they can drive themselves. For new mothers and couples getting married, I want you to remember that expectant happiness, that knowledge that you're entering a new stage of your life, and you can't wait.

I look forward to meeting you and capturing memories with you.

Beach Sunset | Saint Augustine maternity photographer

There’s something so peaceful about maternity pictures at the beach, and this mom-to-be is full of natural grace. E family, it was a pleasure, and K, I can’t wait to meet your baby very soon for her newborn portraits!

The colors on the water that evening were lovely.

Her father came for the session. It’s easy to tell he’s going to be a wonderful grandfather.

Stormy beach | Jacksonville maternity photographer

For months, Florida had been seared with summer heat, the dry land bursting into forest fires that consumed thousands of acres, and smoke drifting into Jacksonville so thick that the skyscrapers faded ghostlike in the horizon. Finally, the rain arrived, our lawns revived and lush. The water has been much needed, and I love being able to sit with my girls on a rainy afternoon, the rain beating a soothing rhythm on our skylights. Rain for photography, though, is a trickier thing. On one hand, a downpour is likely to ruin that perfect hairdo (not to mention expensive camera equipment), but on the other hand, stormy weather can make a pretty backdrop. The rain stayed away for this couple’s maternity session, but the clouds were especially dense with the promise of rain the next day. This mother-to-be is stunning, and right away, I could see how supportive her husband is and how happy they both are. I can’t wait to meet their baby girl in just a few weeks!

The sky was very grey overall, but a patch of fiery clouds over the dunes was a lovely backdrop.

There’s something so serene and beautiful about beach dunes.

I love how carefree she is here. And doesn’t she look amazing? The last trimester of pregnancy can be difficult, but she carries it off so lightly!

M definitely has the glow, and she and her husband are so excited to meet their baby boy. M wanted both studio and beach maternity pictures, and I love all the extra variety that gives. St. Augustine and Jacksonville have so many great beaches to choose from. It was incredibly windy when we arrived and looked like it might rain at any minute (despite the forecast that said it wouldn’t). We stayed dry, though, and it was the perfect setting for M’s maternity pictures. M and T, I can’t wait to photograph your baby boy very soon!

Flowers at the beach — Maternity

The V couple is expecting their first child. Not only is K a lovely mother-to-be, but she also was amazing at withstanding the cold (one of the perks of pregnancy in the last trimester!). We also did an art photo near the end of the session, which is the first image posted here. I’ve had this idea in my mind for a while, and it was so much fun to bring it to life with K. I also wrote a poem for this picture:

Listen, Baby, to the wind sowing

a garden of ocean waves,

boats blossoming on the horizon.

A seagull’s cry is born

somewhere near,

and soon your hands,

like small buds, will open

in the sun of Mother’s voice.

It’s truly one of a kind!;)V family, enjoy your sneak peek!
