    About the Artist:
My style is relaxed. For children, I want you to look at a picture from one of our sessions and remember all the stages of their uniqueness, even when they are too big for you to choose their outfits, comb the "rat's nests" out of their hair (complete with princess rats, mommy rats, and daddy rats, according to my daughters), or let you chauffeur them around town because, amazingly, they can drive themselves. For new mothers and couples getting married, I want you to remember that expectant happiness, that knowledge that you're entering a new stage of your life, and you can't wait.

I look forward to meeting you and capturing memories with you.

Lisa & Shane married | Jacksonville wedding photographer

At my initial consultation with Lisa and Shane, they told me they loved a natural setting–which was one of the things that had attracted them to my style of photography–and that they were getting married at the Keeler property, a beautiful wedding venue with rustic barns, ponds, and geese. Anyone who knows me knows I also love this type of location, so I was very excited to help them capture their day in such a rich setting.

Lisa and Shane met in graduate school for pharmacy, and it’s easy to see how well they fit together as a couple. There’s a quiet happiness when they’re together that’s almost palpable–that special ease that couples have when they know each other so well and trust each other completely. Lisa and Shane, thanks for letting me record these wedding memories for you, and for just being you. I wish you many, many years of happiness together!

And now for the pictures. To start off, here are some of Lisa and Shane as a newly married couple. The light before sunset is usually gorgeous, and that evening the trees picked up such lush golden colors.

This barn is so simple, and yet so elegant, too. It was the perfect spot for their ceremony. The Keeler property is filled with so many details that helped create a mood for the wedding. And I personally always have a soft spot for ducks and geese.

I loved how Shane’s face lit up when he saw Lisa coming down the aisle.

One year | Jacksonville family photographer

I was scanning through some of my recent posts and realized I haven’t yet blogged Miss P’s one-year portraits from before the new year. I couldn’t let this cute baby face slip by, so here are the pictures. It’s always a pleasure working with the C family and watching P grow.

I love this traditional Indian outfit she’s wearing. Isn’t it gorgeous?

They brought their dog this time, and she’s so sweet. It’s easy to tell she’s a dog that’s good with babies.

The wonder of cake…:)

Morning fun | Jacksonville family photographer

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and New Year! I’m catching up on blogging a few sessions from before the holidays. This family is so sweet and and full of happy energy. I photographed little P for his newborn portraits, and it was fun to see how much he’s grown. He’s quite the little boy now.

This was a mini session, but we were able to squeeze in a couple pictures of miss A at the end. Look at those beautiful eyes and smile!
