The grandmother of this baby boy hired me to take portraits as a surprise gift for her daughter and son-in-law. When I arrived, little C had just woken up from a nap and I could see right away he is an adorable and good-natured little baby. The plan had been to do some indoor portraits, but we ended up keeping almost all of the portraits indoors because it was a particularly dreary and cold day outside. The home was so lovely and inviting (and festive for the holidays!) that it was easy to find many perfect nooks for portraits.

This beautiful antique chair has been in the family a long time and has special meaning for them.
Their home overlooked the ocean, so even though it was very gray outside, we had to at least venture out for a few beach portraits before all the light was gone (and I was able to coax out some pretty colors during editing
