Alison and Jimmy got married at the River to Sea Preserve in Saint Augustine, a location special to them as a couple. It was an intimate beach wedding, and Alison was a radiant bride. They were serenaded by a guitarist at the ceremony, and the peaceful beach was a perfect setting for their wedding. It was a pleasure to help record their special day. Alison and Jimmy, congratulations again, and I wish you much joy as you start your lives together!
Maria is graduating from high school this year, and for her senior session, we went to historic Saint Augustine. Not only is she beautiful, but she’s such a joyful spirit. She’s the kind of person whose happiness is contagious, and I had so much fun with her and her mother as we looked for the perfect spots to showcase Maria’s personality. At the end of our session, we headed to the beach where Maria wore her Tongan outfit. We also did a few pictures with my much-requested pink chair, and Maria is a natural model. She was able to give me such lovely moody pictures, perfect for the chair, telephone wires, and cloudy sky. Congrats again, Maria, on your senior year!
The B family was vacationing here in Florida and hired me to take some portraits of their family all together. I get a fair number of vacationers requesting beach portraits, and I can understand why. Jacksonville and Saint Augustine have some beautiful beaches! It’s one of things I love about living here. This family is so full of warmth. B family, it was a pleasure meeting all of you!
Daniel recently passed his medical boards and was looking for some professional portraits. In addition to more classic pictures, we were also able to get some pictures with a beautiful sunset over the water. I love how many opportunities there are in Jacksonville and St. Augustine to include water views and the beauty of nature. Trends may come and go in photography, but nature will always be a classic. Daniel, congratulations again on the next stage of your career!
Little B is three weeks old here and is such a cute newborn. He has a wonderful family, including a big brother and a Great Dane. I’ve never been around a dog quite so large—he was the size of a small horse!—and he is extremely good-natured and easygoing. B was awake most of the time, and was almost always calm and alert. He’s so serene and curious about his new world. M family, congratulations again on the new addition to your family!

Look how relaxed this dog is! One of the advantages of large dogs, I think, is that they don’t mind being hugged by children. My family has a small beagle that our three-year-old tries to lie down on like this, but our beagle is not so happy about it.
