Lisa & Shane engaged | Jacksonville wedding photographer

Lisa and Shane wanted both a little city and nature look for their engagement session, and fortunately Jacksonville offers that in abundance. We were able to walk about looking for good spots, and finally ended with a gorgeous view of the river and downtown. They’re such a cute and fun couple. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in November!

I love this tree with the handprints.

This is one of my favorite pictures from their session because it’s so them. They’re very relaxed and content with each other.

They met at UF in graduate school, and they’re both Gator fans. I may have gone to CMU for undergrad, but not only did I go to grad school at UF myself, I also grew up in Gainesville. I don’t know much about football, but the Gators will always have a special meaning for me.

Look at that view!

Another of my personal favorites.

Alison & Jimmy married | Saint Augustine wedding photographer

Alison and Jimmy got married at the River to Sea Preserve in Saint Augustine, a location special to them as a couple. It was an intimate beach wedding, and Alison was a radiant bride. They were serenaded by a guitarist at the ceremony, and the peaceful beach was a perfect setting for their wedding. It was a pleasure to help record their special day. Alison and Jimmy, congratulations again, and I wish you much joy as you start your lives together!

Rosa & Steve married | Jacksonville wedding photographer

Rosa and Steve got married on a gorgeous spring day. They are the kind of couple where you can tell right away how good they are for each other. They know how to make each other smile, and they love surprising each other in thoughtful ways. Rosa ordered a surprise guest book that brought tears to Steve’s eyes, and it was a day filled with emotion. They’ve known each other for a long time, and their ceremony was lovely and moving. Their home on the St. John’s river was the perfect backdrop for their wedding, and the flowers in full bloom were the finishing touch. Rosa and Steve, congratulations again! You’re lucky to have found each other, and I wish you many happy years together!

Angie & Eric married | Jacksonville wedding photographer

It’s wedding season again, and I photographed my first wedding of the year at Casa Marina. When I arrived, a cup of coffee was just being brought to Angie, and her delighted smile was contagious. Angie is a stunning bride, and she and Eric are such a natural couple. They are surrounded with love, and Angie’s father’s speech brought both tears and laughter as he reminisced over Angie’s childhood. After the ceremony, we did portraits at the beach and the wind whisked away Angie’s veil. Despite fierce winds at some points, we got some beautiful pictures; I love the look of the pier on Jacksonville Beach. Angie and Eric, congratulations, and I wish you many joyful years together!

Beach engagement | Saint Augustine wedding photographer

This couple may have had to deal with a little snow (okay a lot of snow) this past winter where they currently live and work up north, but Florida graced them with lovely weather for their engagement session. They are getting married in April, and for their engagement session, we went to the beach next to their favorite St. Augustine restaurant. Rosa and Steve have such an easy way with each other. You can tell right away how comfortable and perfect they are together. Their wedding will be at their second home in Jacksonville on the river and promises to be exquisite. I’m excited to photograph their wedding in just a couple weeks!
