It was a pleasure photographing this mother expecting her second child. The beach colors are so lovely at this time of year, and we were lucky to have some clouds to really catch those colors. And miss A, my client’s daughter, is absolutely charming. Look at that little smile and cute curls. I can tell she’s going to be a great big sister.

This young man wanted both urban and beach backgrounds for his senior portraits. We met in downtown St. Augustine and finished at the beach with a beautiful sunset. Congrats, John, on your upcoming graduation!
This is one of my personal favorites from the session.
He has such striking eyes.
Seagulls don’t always stay put for pictures once we get close, so I was happy that these were too content to fly away.
In fact, John had to run right at them before they’d move. 🙂
He has such a great smile.
This session was for the grandparents and grandchildren, and it was a gorgeous day at the beach. They are such a warm and easygoing family.
The children were ready to have fun and make each other laugh.
The beautiful family (and a full moon).
When I was scheduled to meet this lovely family, it was another day that threatened rain. As luck would have it, my client has meteorology training and could give some guidance on how likely it was to pour on us at our specific area. We arrived at the beach to beautiful weather and stayed nice and dry. This family is full of warmth, and their children were ready to have fun.
When I was editing, a warm pretty glow came out in the water, and miss C has just the right expression and splash.
The beautiful family.
The younger daughter is so sweet and has such a pretty smile.
This girl has so much personality, and the camera loves it.
She has such natural grace here.
As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve had a fair number of vacationers this year. This family wanted beach portraits to celebrate their time in Florida. They are so full of warmth, and I had a lot of fun with them. We were a little concerned at first that we would be rained out, but fortunately the husband is a meteorologist and was able to check that the rain would pass by the time we arrived for the session. It turned out to be a lovely day at the beach.
I had so many favorites from this session, this being one of them.
One of the things I love best about photographing children is that they’re always ready to show their personalities and add that extra touch to portraits.
This is what being siblings is all about.
Parents need their own portraits, too.
The beautiful family.
These children were so full of happy energy. I was reminded of my own girls’ joyful chaos. As parents, our children run circles around us, and sometimes it’s sweet to stand still and enjoy it.
