Morning fun | Jacksonville family photographer

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and New Year! I’m catching up on blogging a few sessions from before the holidays. This family is so sweet and and full of happy energy. I photographed little P for his newborn portraits, and it was fun to see how much he’s grown. He’s quite the little boy now.

This was a mini session, but we were able to squeeze in a couple pictures of miss A at the end. Look at those beautiful eyes and smile!

I photographed little M for his newborn portraits (and before that, maternity pictures), and I couldn’t believe it was already time for his one-year portraits. The year has gone by so fast. Our first attempt at the session was thwarted by fierce winds, but it was a gorgeous day when we successfully met up at the beach in Ponte Vedra. The T family is always a lot of fun, and I had a great time with them. M is such a cute little boy and already full of personality.

I love the light here, and how he’s so interested in the starfish. The world is such a magical place at this age.

These are the kinds of moments to look back on and smile.

Before moving to this area, I didn’t really think much about the beach amazingly enough. But now that I’ve lived here for so many years, I realize how lucky we are. This picture is what living near the beach is all about.

Baby at 6 months | Jacksonville family photographer

I photographed sweet Miss S as a newborn, and it was a pleasure to see how much she’s grown for her 6-month portraits. We were rained out of the session right after we finished the family pictures, but when we met on a different day to finish the individual portraits of S, the weather was perfect. N family, it was great seeing you all again!

I love the dreamy light in this one, and S is so serene.

Look at those lovely eyes.

S’s mom knows just the game to make her little one laugh.

Her tongue is so adorable!

Florida driftwood | Jacksonville family photographer

The H family wanted beach portraits, but something a little out of the ordinary. This beach has such character and beauty, and was the perfect choice for them. The H family is full of warmth and adventure, and I had a great time exploring this nook of beach with them.

In this image, I love how his arms mimic the shape of the branches, and how he’s just having fun and being himself.

This child has the spirit of adventure in her. Before bringing the girl over to the driftwood for her portraits, I asked her mother if her daughter minded bugs and warned her they were “large.” The bugs scurried away, and after a little coaxing, Miss E ventured on the branch. My own girls would have run screaming. They can’t even stand the sight of ants. Not only did this girl agree to be on the driftwood, but she also gave the sweetest smiles. Later, her mother told me in an aside that I hadn’t been kidding about the big bugs. They’re not the kind we see everyday, that’s for sure!

This image is just right for a black and white.

This picture says it all for family.

Holiday Portrait Sessions | Jacksonville family photographer

We’re officially in the portrait busy season, and October is almost fully booked. For beach sessions, which can be windy, I recommend scheduling before the weather gets cold, especially for families with very young children. Holiday sessions should be scheduled before November 16 to make sure there’s enough turnaround time for orders.

I still can’t believe it’s already fall (although it doesn’t feel like it yet 🙂 ), and I look forward to a great holiday season with all of you! And a blog post isn’t complete without a picture, so here is a recent one of my younger daughter. The colors were so pretty that day.
