Sisters | Jacksonville family photographer

This family was in town for their older daughter’s karate tournament and wanted some beach portraits while they were in Florida. These sisters were so much fun, and the older daughter showed some of her karate at sunset. The clouds were such a fiery color that went perfectly with the moves.

This is one of my personal favorites. She reminds me of one of the warriors from the “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” movie, flying surreally through the air.

I love how graceful the younger daughter looks here.

These sisters were happy to play around, too.

I love a few moody pictures.

And the beautiful family.

Baby Boy | Jacksonville newborn photographer

This sweet newborn boy is just nine days old here. He slept wonderfully for most of the session, and despite intense heat, we were able to snag a few outdoor pictures.

There was a little quiet patch of wooded area to the side of the home that was perfect for a portrait.

His parents had this adorable monster hat ready for his session.

Pictures of a parent with their newborn baby–just quiet moments in the home–are often some of my personal favorites.

Little R’s grandmother was visiting. He’s a baby surrounded by much love.

The happy parents.

Light and Airy | Jacksonville family photographer

I love photographing families, especially when I can capture those special dynamics between family members. This family is full of love, and the mother even has sewing skills. The outfit in the first picture is one she made herself.

This little girl has lovely eyes.

This bench usually brings out great expressions; I don’t know why! Both children gave us such beautiful smiles.

Children are only babies for a little while, and the finger in the mouth is such a classic baby moment.

Don’t they have identical smiles? When I was editing, I was really struck by the similarity of expression in many of the father/son pictures.

This little girl is full of curiosity.

This little boy is at that age where he just lets loose with his personality.

The beautiful family all together.

11 days new | Jacksonville newborn photographer

I hope everyone is having a fun 4th of July! What better way to celebrate than a few pictures of a newborn?  🙂  This adorable baby boy is just 11 days old here. He slept beautifully throughout the entire session. One of the things I love about the warm months is that we can do a few outdoor newborn portraits, too. The G family has such a lovely landscaped yard with freshly-planted flowers, thanks to little S’s grandmother.

S napping in the garden.

Look at those cute baby cheeks.

His mother especially wanted a little lion hat, and it’s perfect for him!

The happy family.

There’s something so classic about a window portrait.

7 days new | Jacksonville newborn photographer

This sweet newborn was eager to greet the world and was born a couple weeks early. His father was abroad under deployment and couldn’t be there for the portrait session, but was able to be back home soon to meet his new beautiful baby. Little T is surrounded by much love.

I love window light and quiet moments like these between mother and baby.

T’s grandmother ironically was wearing some sock monkey house slippers the day of the session. Little T is just perfect for this hat.

And a gentle newborn smile.
