This playful family visited Ponte Vedra all the way from Virginia, and although it was a little chilly on the beach (by Florida standards), they were ready to enjoy beach time together. I had fun meeting them and helping them make memories of their vacation.

I hope everyone is safe and doing well after Hurricane Irma. This post features a recent session from before the storm. When this family arranged their vacation to Florida, they also saw a chance for senior portraits with a beach setting. Rain got in the way for a few days, but a lull allowed us to meet at a beach in Ponte Vedra. The first set of pictures show two cousins who are both graduating from high school this year and play together on a baseball team. The little sister was also happy to join in some pictures and the fun. It was a pleasure working with this warm family, and many congrats to the seniors!
I met this family on a lovely summer evening to help them capture some Florida memories before a move to another state for a new job. The kids were full of playful energy, cherishing their time at the beach with their dad. I enjoyed meeting this family and wish them all the best in their next adventure.
This lovely mom-to-be is radiant. I met this couple in Ponte Vedra for beach maternity portraits on the kind of clear day that’s perfect for bringing out rich sunset colors. Their adorable dog, Rider, is sweet and go-lucky; I know he’s going to be great with the new baby.
After Hurricane Matthew, our dunes were flattened in many places, and at Mickler’s Landing, a former wall was reduced to striking concrete pillars. I met this family shortly after the hurricane, and the stormy feel made for a dramatic backdrop. In this first picture, I love the look of the pillars and this little girl’s elegance.
With flying foam and strong winds, the beach was a surprising playground for our session, and the children were ready for adventure. The mom also brought a pretty turquoise bench that was perfect for the ocean setting. I had a lot of fun working with this family.
