I photographed this lovely family over the summer last year, and this latest session was a surprise gift for the father of the children as a football player and cheerleader. The park had such pretty colors that day–perfect for the portraits.
Little G is at that age where the laughter is just waiting to come out.
Miss B has such pretty eyes.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and New Year! I’m back on my blog and will try to catch up on postings (more to come). I photographed these boys the year before, and it was a pleasure to see them again for more portraits. We explored around Saint Augustine, looking for scenic nooks.
Early in the session, the children had a chance to play and have fun with the fort as a backdrop.
It’s easy to see these brothers are going to grow up close.

I photographed this family last year for portraits and had a great time with them. The S family invited me back to photograph their son’s fourth birthday party in their back yard. I had checked the forecast and saw there was a good chance of rain, but it turned out to be a windy and sunny day instead, so everyone was able enjoy the outdoors. There was a wonderful variety of activities, and it was easy to see how much fun all the children and families were having. V is a perfect little spider-man and full of happy zest.
The children loved the train, and V practiced his spider-man moves.
Some of my favorites from the party are from when V climbed to the top of his playhouse.
Look at that joyful smile. Love it!
Look closely, and you’ll see that V sneaked a bite of his cake after blowing out the candles… a classic four-year-old moment that I was happy to capture for posterity. 🙂
The grandmother of this baby boy hired me to take portraits as a surprise gift for her daughter and son-in-law. When I arrived, little C had just woken up from a nap and I could see right away he is an adorable and good-natured little baby. The plan had been to do some indoor portraits, but we ended up keeping almost all of the portraits indoors because it was a particularly dreary and cold day outside. The home was so lovely and inviting (and festive for the holidays!) that it was easy to find many perfect nooks for portraits.

This beautiful antique chair has been in the family a long time and has special meaning for them.
Their home overlooked the ocean, so even though it was very gray outside, we had to at least venture out for a few beach portraits before all the light was gone (and I was able to coax out some pretty colors during editing 🙂 ).
