Photographer & Detective | Saint Augustine child photographer

It’s been a while since I took my own children out for a session, so we headed out to a little spot in between Jacksonville and St. Augustine, dog in tow. My younger daughter has had a special love of our beagle since her infancy, and has been known to engage our poor beagle in many games. My older child has been reading a rabbit detective series and was excited to put on a Sherlock Holmes cap and wield a magnifying glass. I hope these make you smile. First meet the characters.

C family | Jacksonville children photographer

I photographed little R for his newborn pictures, and it was fun to see how much he’s grown now for his 1-year portraits. We went to a park on the outskirts of Jacksonville and St. Augustine, and the forecast had promised only a 10% chance of rain. As I drove through rain to the park, I was worried, but fortunately, it cleared up to just a few sprinkles by the time we all arrived. I actually love cloudy weather for portraits; it gives such a soft light. The C family is so relaxed and happy together, and little R gave us so many great smiles. His sister, Carly, is such a good big sister (and a beautiful girl!). C family, it was a pleasure working with you all again!

I love his serious expression here, and those sweet curls.

And, of course, I love some child joy…

Big sister, C. She has such a perfect, serene expression here.

A beautiful family.
