I met this client through a referral, and it was a pleasure to meet her and her little boy, soon to be a big brother. We started in the historic district of Saint Augustine, and then ended the session at the beach for plenty of variety. The family is full of warmth, and this little boy has such an adorable smile.
I love working with return clients over the years and helping them record those special moments in their lives. This young woman’s mother hired me to take maternity pictures for her daughter, and we decided to go to the historic district in St. Augustine. Despite a forecast of no rain, we faced some light showers and a threat of a downpour. Fortunately, we were able to get in many pictures before the rain got serious.
Saint Augustine offers so much charm: perfect for her maternity portraits. She and her husband were both so excited to be having a baby.
It was a pleasure photographing this mother expecting her second child. The beach colors are so lovely at this time of year, and we were lucky to have some clouds to really catch those colors. And miss A, my client’s daughter, is absolutely charming. Look at that little smile and cute curls. I can tell she’s going to be a great big sister.

The beach offers a pristine and beautiful backdrop for maternity portraits, even in winter. We’ve had an unusually warm winter until now, and in all the years I’ve lived her, I can’t remember a winter ever as long lastingly warm as this year. Last night it was freezing (amazing!), and we may have an actual winter after all here in sunny Florida. When I met this lovely mom-to-be, though, it was a mild, pleasant day for maternity portraits.
I love clouds at the beach, and there’s something so pretty about the way light makes the sea oats sparkle at sunset.
